After picking up a 2nd hand Coltone bass at 14 for the 1st time and having a great ear for music our other Mick ( MAX ) to avoid confusion, has managed to hook up with other muso’s everywhere he’s ever been for over 40 yrs.

Alpha Centauri in high school, Crossroads with big brother Tony and mate Steve into the 80’s , Awesome rock covers with Classic Black tearing up Toowoomba venues and Battle of the Bands Brissy runners up in the 90’s.
Moving to Ballina circa 94 and forming the infamous Red Eye Reduction with Boots and Granto while sidelining with other bands Mojo, and R T and the Pacers with local legend Craig Toke of Tokyo Joe fame. After a short hiatus gaining a great name and respect with good friends in 2 bands in Fig Jam with Rob Saric up front & Cherry St with local Legend Glenn Massey of Fossil Rock fame .

After a stint with the cool n cruisey 6 piece Smooth Grooves Band ( playing awesome R’n’B and modern pop hits in reggae and other styles),
Mick 2 the MAX ( the nickname care of young Boots from Red Eye) managed to reconnect with Glenn Massey and young local legend ( Dan the Man – Drums ) to form the widely acclaimed Glenn Massey and the Thread playing Rock & Country hits with a huge following around the NSW North coast and into Gold Coast, Brisvegas even getting lucky enough to perform at the Tamworth festival and recording an 8 track album ( 5 covers and 3 originals) at Rocking Horse Studios just out from Byron Bay.

After 20 or so years in Ballina, Max moved back to Brissy closer to family and was pretty soon entrenched in the Wanderers talented lineup and is ready to bring the Party back to the Patrons with their enthusiastic style of Rock and Roll , Rock , Country and modern hits with the other legends in the band.
